Year 9 - its nearly time to choose your options!
Its only a matter of weeks now until all year 9s will choose their options for GCSE. If you have any questions about your possible options or would like to speak to someone before making your decisions then ask Miss Greenacre or arrange a connxions appointment. There will be a year 9 options evening in February.

Our trip to the WorldSkills Event London 2011
We took 97 of our year 11 pupils to the World Skills Event in London where students were given the opportunity to have a look at all the different career they may want to choose in the future. There were stalls from a number of national companies and universities and colleges. Overall a successful day which inspired many of our students.

Why university isn't the only route to a successful career
Apart from lots of zeros on the end of their bank balance, Lord Sugar, Sir Richard Branson and Simon Cowell all have something in common: not one of them went to university, yet they have all gone on to be incredibly successful people who would probably tell you that university is not the be all and end all.
Graduate news: Employers plan on raising graduate recruitment targets
Almost 40 per cent of employers are planning to raise graduate recruitment this year, according to research by the Association of Graduate Recruiters. A snapshot survey of almost 100 companies taken in April, found that almost 60 per cent say they are still open for applications and 55 per cent are more confident about the economy compared to three months ago.
