Student Voice

Student Voice is the set of systems through which young people give their opinions and suggestions on Academy life in an open, honest, secure yet constructive way.

At Bedford Academy we believe that all students are entitled to contribute actively in shaping the educational experience they and their fellow students receive.  Bedford Academy is committed to placing Student Voice at the centre of lesson planning and design of the wider curriculum.

Students in all years at Bedford Academy have many opportunities to contribute their views and opinions. The Student Voice team meet regularly to look at a wide variety of issues that come under the broad headings of Environment, Charities and Student Wellbeing. They also look at issues specifically affecting the different year groups.

The Student Voice team also play an increasingly important role in the interview process of recruiting new staff and play an active part in whole school decision making, including presenting their ideas to the staff and governors at the school.
