The Maths and Business Learning Village Student Voice group have nominated Tia Forbes (Year 9) as the Learning Village Representative for the full Academy Council; congratulations Tia!
At their last Student Voice meeting, the Maths and Business Student Voice produced a list of suggested rewards for the achievement points that all Academy students are achieving over the academic year. Rewards will be on a sliding scale to reflect the number of points achieved over the year and suggestions made included:
- Harpur Centre/High Street/Hair and Beauty Vouchers
- Electronic games, prizes and/or consoles, e.g. iPods, Notebooks
- Cash
- Academy Reward Trips, e.g. MK shopping Trip
- Stationary
- Games available in the ILC which could be "bought" with Achievement Points and used during lunchtimes
- Mufti Day
Students also put forward suggestions for activities that they would like to see at lunchtimes, which will prove especially useful in the upcoming winter months, and presented fundraising ideas for the Maths and Business Learning Village Charity, Help for Heroes.
All Student Voice representatives will receive badges in their November assemblies and will gain Achievement Points to reflect their contribution to the development of the Academy.
