TRANSITION PROGRAMME 2012
Information for students allocated a place at Bedford Academy for September 2012.
The following is a detailed outline of our Transition Programme here at Bedford Academy. Please read carefully so you and your child are fully aware of all the relevant dates and planned events:
March - April 2012:
- We contact your child’s Middle School and gather information on your child. A letter is issued by Mrs Claire Smith (Prinicpal) to all parents of students allocated a place at Bedford Academy
April – May 2012:
- A series of visits will be made by the Lead Teacher of Transition, Mr Philippou and other members of staff to find out more about your child. We believe that the more we can understand your child the better their experience will be at Bedford Academy.
July 12th 2012:
- TRANSITION DAY - a series of events planned for all students transferring to Bedford Academy in September 2012.
- TRANSITION EVENING - All parents and students are required to attend the information evening from 6.30pm (refreshments will available from 6.15pm) in the Bunyan Centre and collect their Transition handbook; invite letters will be sent to all parents and students nearer the time.
