DETENTIONS

Students at Bedford Academy follow a ‘Think

Positive’ approach to behaviour. Students are

awarded Achievement Points for demonstrating

positive behaviour and Behaviour Points for

negative behaviour. We recognise that if students

maintain a positive points balance, their conduct

around the Academy is positive and they are

rewarded for this.

60 minute after school detentions on Tuesdays

and Thursdays, until a positive points balance

is restored.

For serious breaches of the Bedford Academy

Behaviour Policy, students will also be expected

to complete a Senior Leadership Team detention

for 60 minutes after school on a Friday.

For students who consistently display Bedford

Academy Character, detentions are never a worry.
