At Bedford Academy we have structured our day to maximise student learning. We recognise that students build knowledge and understanding by building on prior learning. This means they need time to revisit/retrieve knowledge and practise using it. We believe this is done best in the model we have designed.

Each day, other than assembly days, students have a DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) session where they have a focused slot developing reading.

Once school finishes for the day, there is a daily slot for Enrichment Activities. Students are encouraged to stay on at the Academy to join in Enrichment.
