I joined Bedford Academy in September 2022 as Assistant Headteacher – Data and Assessment, where my responsibilities include being the school data lead, Pupil Premium, whole school accountability and the line management of Business and Maths.

I have a Master’s Degree in Education: Leadership and Management from The Open University and the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). In the past my roles in other schools have included being the Head of Humanities overseeing History, Geography and Religious Education and raising the attainment of students, Head of Geography, Assistant Head of Sixth Form and I ran Eco schools.

I have a particular interest in raising Pupil Premium attainment so that all students can succeed and overcome barriers to reach their potential and raising Gifted and Talented students’ attainment. As a Geographer I want students to be curious about the world around them, through enquiry led learning, learning to question ideas and develop problem-solving skills.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, walking and reading.
