I have been part of our community since January 2012, and was appointed Headteacher in January 2019. Since being in post, Bedford Academy has been on a significant school improvement journey, culminating in a very positive Ofsted report in March 2023 with  our school now being one of the most popular choices for families in the Borough.

I am extremely proud to be leading a fantastic team of staff who are passionate about providing the best possible educational experience for our young people. My core values are centred around high standards and positive relationships at every level, which I believe are fundamental in order to get the best from every individual. With our consistent approach and our open and honest culture, we have been able to build an oversubscribed, thriving school that offers relevant and individualised pathways for all students that are driven and aspirational.

I moved my family to Bedford in 2015 with my wife Laura, who is also a teacher. We have two young children who keep us busy at the weekend and in holidays. I try to keep myself fit and healthy and enjoy cooking at home when I have the time. I have a degree in Sports Education, completed my teacher training (PGCE) in Bedford and have recently completed both the NPQH and NPQEL programmes for School Leaders.
